Matt Massei, General Manager
Before joining Prestonwood, Matt Massei was the General Manager of Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH, where he managed 400+ staff and oversaw 365 lodging rooms, food and beverage operations, golf and club operations, townhome and condo. management, and retail operations. Prior to 2006, Massei was at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club for 15 years, where he rose to VP of Golf and Club Operations overseeing their eight golf courses. A graduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in Business Admistration, Massei resides in Cary with his wife Lisa and their three children Anna, Luke and Jack. 
Jim Gray, Controller
Jim Gray has been the controller at Prestonwood Country Club since 2009. His responsibilities include the financial, accounting, and general adminstration of the Club. Jim is a certified public accountant and a member of the NCACPA, AICPA, and HFTP. He has lived in the area with his wife and their two sons since graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Vickie Gregory, Membership Director
Vickie is a graduate of Atlantic Christian College and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. She taught public school for seven years. Prior to joining Prestonwood at the club's inception in 1988 as Membership Director, she became a realtor which gave her valuable sales experience. Vickie resides in Raleigh and has one son, Storm. Her hobbies include drawing, painting and gardening.
Kristin Fowler Harris, Communications Director
Before joining Prestonwood, Kristin Harris was the Marketing & Communications Manager at Octagon, where she managed 600+ creative projects and oversaw the marketing, advertising, charitable outreach, and media relations for 6 professional golf tournaments around the United States. A graduate of the North Carolina State University with Bachelor degrees in Sport Management & Business and a Masters degree in Sport Management, Harris resides in Durham with her husband Adam. 
Sondra Johnstone, Director of Food & Beverage
Sondra was hired as Social Director in the spring of 1998. She studied at East Carolina University and UNC Wilmington pursuing Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Business Management. Before coming to Prestonwood, Sondra worked for Club Corporation of America for 10 years. Sondra lives in Downtown Raleigh with her husband John and son Sam.
Scott Rowe, Executive Chef
Chef Rowe's 32 years of food service experience includes expertise in a variety of fields including fine dining restaurants, resorts, hotels, and private clubs. Chef attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America where he obtained his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Before joining Prestonwood as the Executive Chef, Rowe was the Executive Chef at the acclaimed Pinehurst Resort and oversaw the vast culinary operation of nine dining outlets, three hotels, two private country clubs and also the 2005 US OPEN Golf Championship. Chef also help positions with THE PGA TOUR's tournament players club at Avenel and Wakefield Plantation and spent nine years with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company in Washington DC. Chef and his wife Toni currently reside in Morrisville.
Larry Conner, Director of Golf Operations
Joining Prestonwood in 2001, Conner was previously the National Director of Golf for Toll Brothers Inc. at Brier Creek Country Club. He was involved in seven ground-up residential Arnold Palmer Signature Course golf developments and was previously the Corporate Director of Golf for Dominion Resources and Two Rivers Country Club at Governor's Land in Williamsburg, VA. A graduate of the Unviersity of Florida with undergraduate degrees in Business Management & Marketing, Conner's career started as a player, teacher and professional at the Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Orlanda, FL. Him and wife Denise reside in Cary, NC.
David Dalton, Director Of Golf Maintenance
A 1989 graduate of North Carolina State University, David is a Class A Superintendent with 21 years of turfgrass experience from Pinehurst Plantation, MacGregor Downs Country Club, Pinewild Golf Club, before arriving at Prestonwood Country Club in February 2008. David has overseen green complex renovations to the Meadows, Fairways and Highlands golf courses. Originally from Raeford, NC, David now resides in Fuquay Varina with his wife, Shelly, and their daughter, Mary Grace.
Mike Barker, Director of Fitness
Prior to arriving at Prestonwood in 1997, Mike was the Exercise Physiologist at Southwind Physical Therapy in Durham, NC where he designed conditioning programs for patients with orthopedic concerns and helped create a community wellness program.  While earning a Master’s degree in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University, Mike also served as the Assistant Strength Coach for men’s basketball, wrestling, and baseball teams.  In addition to managing the Prestonwood Fitness facility, Mike conducts personal training sessions and leads small group clinics related to golf conditioning, core training, and youth speed and agility development.  Mike lives in Fuquay-Varina with his wife Sherry and their two children Madison and Jackson.
Carol Beaird, Kids Club Director
Before joining Prestonwood in 1994, Carol Beaird was the Director of Recreation for the City of Westminister in Maryland. Carol was responsible for 13 city parks, oversaw a staff of 30 employees and their summer programming, and organized all city events for the Mayor and City Council including festivals, parades, and holiday events. She attended the University of Baltimore in Baltimore County (UMBC) and currently resides in Holly springs with her husband Tom. They have 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
Dan Weant, Director of Tennis
Dan Weant has been the Director of Tennis at Prestonwood Country Club since the program's inception in 1988. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he won a Southern conference singles title and posted the best win-loss record for three straight years. Dan also holds a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Physiology from East Carolina University. As a player Dan has won four N.C. State Championship singles titles, eight doubles titles and one Southern Closed doubles title. As a coach Dan was voted the North Carolina Association of Tennis Professionals Pro of the year in 1985 and was formerly the coach for the Raleigh Edge of the professional World Team Tennis League. He also won the North Carolina Junior Tennis Council Award in 1996.  A certified USPTA professional since 1985, Dan is currently a USTA Area Training Center coach and a USTA Zonals coach. A native of Salisbury, North Carolina, Dan brings 30+ years of teaching experience and enthusiasm to the Prestonwood Tennis Program.
